There was an old thread where Dawk recommended a Bag End D12-D cab loaded with Celestion G12-80's for someones Engl Sovereign 50. Well my son has a D12-D that he plays bass thru, so I decided I would load my G12-80's into it, and if I liked it I would have to by him a new cab for his bass head. Looks like I have to buy him that bass cab. The Celestion dropped right into the front loaded cab, and I also installed a pair of Weber Beam Blockers, just because I like them. I must say this is an excellent sounding 2x12 cab. I should note that i'm driving it with an Engl Savage 120. My other cab is a Port City Amps oversized 2x12. I have a set of Vintage 30's in there now. I have also owned a Mojotone / Marshall 2061 2x12, an Avatar 2x12 and Tone Tubby 2x12 cabs. This Bag End cab really sounds good. You can sometimes find these used on ebay, as I did, for a good price, they are not that popular but they are sure built good. Very solid and very heavy.
