Hello, I'm recording some guitar parts next month in a studio that has the Line 6 Amp Farm. I've read good reviews on the amp models (Marshall, Vox, Twin, ect) so I think I'm going to leave the amp at home and give it a try. That way I can preview previously recorded sounds and pick one or apply different models at mix down. Dawk, have you heard any of the Amp Farm sounds or are any of your guys using it? Thanks and Happy Holidays to all. Mac
Don't mention snow! Just woken up to find about 8" of the sodding stuff has fallen overnight. Should stay on Christmas cards where it belongs! Thankfully I'm not working today but still have go out to get a last minute gift . . . . my wife's!
Merry Christmas to Dawk, Jerry and everybody else here. Rob, 36 Celsius at Christmas, lucky if it's 36 Fahrenheit here

A major question to me is whether Lindy Fralin's split blades have noticable signal loss on the middle strings - which I've read is the reason this design is not usually attempted on a guitar. His design conceit is the angle at the ends of the blades. The Lace Alumitones are another split coil that works by re-designing the magnetic structure of the pickup - but then you have a dopey passive transformer. Similarly, the G & L Commanche has those split-coil pickups like on a bass guitar, but with rod magnets - it appears to be the instrument EVH used on "Finish What Ya Started."
